Hazardous Waste

European Legislation has led to the composition of a list of those wastes considered hazardous. This list takes into account the origin and composition of the waste. Hazardous wastes are defined as those that meet at least one of the 14 hazardous characteristics set out in European Community regulations. These characteristics take into account risks to human health and the environment.
